5:00pm-7:00pm – Chili  Cook-Off @ City Hall Parking Lot Under the Big Tent

The “how to”:
Please first come to the “entrance” table and get your tasting spoon (try not to drop it :)) and TWO tickets to vote with (one for catering category and one for restaurant).  At this point you may also give towards the Fall Festival at the donation bucket, appreciated but not mandatory – this is a Free community event!  Then go to each participant and taste their chili (there are cups with chili already prepared).  Remember your favorite for voting!!!  When you’re done, go to the “exit” table and vote for your favorite.  Chairs and tables are provided to eat at and don’t forget to sop up the chili with some bread and wash it down with water, graciously donated by Ice Mountain

Ferris State University Volunteers Kid’s Games & Activities @ City Hall Parking Lot
Trunk or Treat @ City Hall Parking Lot
Inflatable Streetfair & Climbing Wall along Michigan Avenue

11:30am – Celebrity Pumpkin Roll along Michigan Avenue

Kids and families can enjoy the Trunk or Treat, kids games, inflatables, pumpkin carving, donuts & cider, cookies & hot chocolate at their leisure until 1:00pm.  All of these events start after the parade because we want as many people as possible to participate in the parade :)  The Celebrity Pumpkin Roll will begin at 11:30am, at which point Michigan Avenue (north of Chemical Bank) needs to be clear of pedestrian traffic (or risk being hit by a pumpkin!)  The Pumpkin Roll will last approximately a half hour.  All events are free and open to the public!

Congratulations to 2013 “Celebrity” Pumpkin Roll Winners Megan Hiler (Ferris State University Softball) and Scott Roman (Sunny 97.3)!
