You, your business, or your organization can win up to $75 downtown dollars. There will be a first, second and third place winner. The scarecrows will be voted on by the community based on creativity, authenticity and overall appearance. The community will vote by taking a selfie with their favorite scarecrow and posting it with the hashtag #BRFallFest.

It is completely free to participate and you are encouraged to use your scarecrow as a marketing tool for your business or organization. All scarecrows need to be set up by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17th. If you are a business or organization located in downtown corridor of the Maple and Michigan Avenue cross streets you may leave your scarecrow in your storefront as long as the whole thing is visible for the community outside of business hours. Photos will be taken of each scarecrow at 5 p.m. to be placed online.

You may create either a staked or sitting scarecrow. Since the scarecrows will be displayed over a two-week time period please make sure there are no valuable items on the scarecrow. It is requested all scarecrows stay up through Wednesday, October 31st, and the scarecrow creators are then responsible for picking them up by November 2nd, any scarecrows still left on the street will be removed and discarded by the city.
