About Mecosta County CVB
The Mecosta County Visitors Bureau is a destination marketing organization designed to promote tourism in the Big Rapids region. Their mission is to obtain “more heads in beds by putting more bodies in businesses.” They also promote the area’s great outdoor recreational resources including numerous trails, over 14,000 acres of state land, 104 lakes within the county, award-winning golf, the arts, festivals, music events, and more.
Visitors and locals alike can find resources such as the Community Events Calendar, Annual Events Schedule, Lodging and Meetings information, Things To Do and Relocation Information by visiting either their interactive website at BigRapids.org or by stopping into the new Mecosta County Welcome Center located at 127 S. State Street, Big Rapids.
Great marketing tools produced and distributed by the MCVB include their annual Visitors Guide and County Map along with participation in numerous state-affiliated organizations and partnerships with groups such as Travel Michigan’s Pure Michigan Ad campaign and the premier outdoor sports destination, the Dragon Trail.
